As a month slated for love, February is the perfect time to show those around you just how much you care. This February, SJCS shared our love for a special set of donors: our Founders Circle members. Since 1998, there have been 281 Founders Circle members and their families. Their commitment is unwavering. Founders are pillars of the school and are multi-faceted in the ways that they support St. Joseph’s and our students. However, their contributions to the Annual Fund are most important as they give directly to tuition assistance solely because they want to give students an opportunity to attend St. Joseph’s when those students could otherwise not afford to do so. Founders are committed to the mission of the school and the formation of young adults who will go on to become contributing members of their own unique communities.
All gifts to the Annual Fund and to the school are of great importance, but we honor those who faithfully give above and beyond. Founders are often those who donate year after year. While we like to celebrate our Founders and other donors year round, we specifically celebrate Founders in the spring at the Founder’s Circle Musical Preview Party as well as the Founders Circle Donor Appreciation Tailgate in the fall. And in February, of course, we want to highlight this special group of families, friends and community supporters and reciprocate our love that they share daily.
A little bit more about the Founders Circle:
The Founders Circle is a group of philanthropic leaders at St. Joseph’s Catholic School. The Circle was established to honor the selflessness of the school’s original Founders, which finds continuing expression through the generosity of those who now sustain the St. Joseph’s Annual Fund. The Founders Circle forms the backbone of the Annual Fund and provides our students with the best education possible.
Membership in The Founders Circle is for a period of one year and is then renewable with a qualifying gift each year to the St. Joseph’s Annual Fund. Annual membership levels begin at $1,000 of unrestricted giving, with additional recognition at the $2,500, $5,000 and $10,000 levels, respectively.
$10,000 and above — Guardian’s Circle
$5,000 – $9,999 — Cornerstone Circle
$2,500 – $4,999 — Stewardship Circle
$1,000 – $2,499 — Founders Circle
The fiscal year at St. Joseph’s Catholic School begins each July 1st and ends with the academic year-end of June 30th. Since its inception, The Founders Circle has played a major role each year towards achieving the school’s Annual Fund goal of over $500,000—nearly 30% of that goal traditionally comes from Founders Circle members.
