What began with thirteen students in 1993 has blossomed into a thriving environment where the school is nearly at full student capacity. Our graduating classes have grown drastically within a small time frame (a great problem to have) to the point where we can no longer fit our family, friends, and alumni inside our hosting church, Prince of Peace, for our Baccalaureate Mass and Graduation Ceremony. We are so grateful for their hospitality and beautiful space where we have come together in prayer and celebration for our graduating classes.
Beginning a new, and more spacious, tradition at St. Joseph’s, the eighteenth Commencement Exercises were held on Saturday, May 31st in the school gym. Despite the change in scenery, the ceremonies were just as beautiful, if not more so. We were able to celebrate the accomplishments of the Class of 2014 with even more of our community present, with the benefit of being on our own campus. Highlights of the weekend certainly included songs from the SJCS choir, speeches and prayers by our Headmaster, our new school Chaplain, and the top three awards winners of the school year: Gene Langan (Outstanding Christian Athlete Award), Luke Lepak (Father Fox Award), and Sean Rusnak (Redemptoris Custos Award).
